Comau introduces digital solutions at the Global Smart Factory Summit in Shanghai

Shanghai- September 25th – On September 25, Comau attended the Global Smart Factory Summit in Shanghai. The summit is one of the most important events in smart manufacturing and digitalization with more than 300 OEM digital initiative experts in attendance, and over 20 eminent speakers delivering key-note speeches. Wang Junwu, Comau China's Engineering Director, introduced Comau's digitalization platform in.Grid.

Comau's in.Grid platform helps customers monitor manufacturing, reduce logistic and maintenance costs, shorten the time to market, and leverage the power of Industry 4.0 in a cost-effective and highly efficient manner. The in.Grid platform includes an IoT system and a MES system. in.Grid/IoT (Internet of Things) collects real-time information of machines and their subcomponents to monitor their health and reduce maintenance costs through an advanced algorithm enabling predictive maintenance. in.Grid/MES (Manufacturing Execution System) collects the full range of production data in real-time – from raw material acceptance to finished product shipment – which can apprehend production planning, optimization and scheduling algorithmic engine process and data traceability.
