Milan, December 4, 2025

Comau received the “Capital Elite” award at the “China Awards 2025,” an initiative promoted by the ICCF (Italy China Council Foundation) together with Class Editori, now in its 20th edition. The recognition was granted for Comau’s commitment to strengthening business relations between Italy and China, helping to generate industrial development opportunities in both markets.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 3, at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. The event was attended by representatives of the ICCF and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China – who composed the technical jury – along with Italian and Chinese companies, entrepreneurs, and professionals. All participants, including Comau, were recognized for their proactive and strategic approach to Italian-Chinese bilateral relations.

Alberto Rimoldi, Comau’s Chief Synergies & Integration Officer, accepted the “Capital Elite” award on behalf of Comau.

Comau China has been operating in the Chinese market since 1997, relying on the valuable work of more than 800 employees, a main plant in Shanghai – which includes an Innovation Center for the development of advanced electrification systems, digital solutions, smart manufacturing systems, robotics, and automation products – and two additional sites in Kunshan and Dalian. Comau China is also active in Thailand and Malaysia and serves as a key supplier for several markets across the Asia-Pacific region.

Thanks to its long-standing experience in manufacturing innovation and a strong local presence, Comau China has built strong collaborative relationships with Chinese companies – particularly in the automotive sector – introducing advanced automation across major industrial segments and helping to promote more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable production practices.

This recognition highlights Comau’s commitment to developing cutting-edge technologies to meet the needs of customers worldwide, as well as the success of our joint Italy-China initiatives. Comau is an Italian company with a strong international footprint and a long-standing presence in China, a crucial market. This solid foundation in China has allowed us to respond to local demands while also developing projects that have contributed to the company’s success in international markets across various sectors. Our ability to act as a bridge between Italy and China, operating on a global scale, represents a key competitive advantage,”.

In recent months, Comau has shared its vision for an increasingly advanced and efficient industry by participating in several public events, including the “2025 Yangtze River Delta Digital Transformation Conference,” held in Nanjing at the end of September, and the 20th edition of the Shanghai International Automotive Manufacturing Technology & Materials Show (AMTS), which took place in July at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. During the event, the company was recognized for its range of technologies dedicated to hairpin stator production, developed by its R&D team in China for both the local and international markets.

During 2025, Comau China also stood out for other recognitions received for its participation in projects carried out with major Chinese partners. In the second half of the year, for example, Comau China was named “Best Collaboration Partner” by Geely for the integration of a next-generation hybrid engine production line developed at the Yiwu plant. In July, it received the “Volvo Cars Award for Launch Excellence 2024” for its contribution to the production of the new V551 model at Volvo’s Chengdu plant. At the beginning of 2025, Comau was awarded Chery’s “Outstanding Customer Empowerment Award” for its technological expertise in smart manufacturing processes. Notably, the company also developed cutting-edge automation technology for Li Auto’s next-generation range extender line, significantly increasing its annual production capacity.
