At the SOP (Start of Production) launch event for Geely’s new powertrain operations on Aug 13, Comau was honored with the “Best Collaboration Partner” award for its outstanding performance and close collaboration in the new-generation hybrid engine production line transformation project at the Geely Yiwu Engine Plant. This recognition, following previous honors such as “Best Supplier Award,” “Excellent Supplier Award,” and “Best Cooperation Award,” highlights the deepening strategic partnership and mutual success between the two companies.
The Geely Yiwu engine project is aimed at a new generation of high-performance, low-emission powertrains, with complex processes and stringent precision requirements. The project places high demands on the flexibility and stability of the production line, for which Comau has provided a comprehensive solution covering both assembly and machining processes. The retooling equipment now has the ability to produce multiple engine models on the same line, meeting key technical indicators such as cycle time, operating rate, and first-pass yield, exceeding the initial project goals.
