Comau showcased its latest advancements in electric vehicle production and smart manufacturing at the 20th Shanghai International Automotive Manufacturing Technology & Materials Show (AMTS), held from July 9 to 11 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As a global leader in automotive manufacturing automation, Comau presented its comprehensive solutions for next-generation vehicle manufacturing and was recognized with multiple A+ Award recipients during the event.
This year, the company introduced a new format designed to facilitate direct dialogue and deeper engagement with customers and industry stakeholders. Moving beyond traditional product displays, the space featured immersive visual storytelling, real-world case studies, and technical exchanges with experts, highlighting Comau’s application driven approach in the automotive sector.

In recognition of its capabilities in system integration and innovation, Comau earned three A+ Awards at the AMTS 20th Anniversary Celebration on July 9.
Top System Integrator
Comau received this award for its deep expertise across core manufacturing domains, including body-in-white, e-drive, and battery systems, as well as its proven ability to deliver turnkey automation solutions with integrated digital and control systems. This recognition reinforces Comau’s more than 50 years of experience in industrial automation and its role as a long-term trusted partner to leading global automakers.
Technology Innovation Award
The company was also honored for its hairpin stator technology portfolio, developed by the Comau E Drive & E Motor R&D team based in China to meet local and international market demands. The solution covers six core process operations, including wire forming, insertion, widening, twisting, cutting, and laser welding, and offers modular scalability from semi-automatic to fully automated configurations to meet different production needs of the customers. Comau’s solution combines flexibility for multi-variants production, easy quick change and automatic production stability, with full-process monitoring, thus ensuring consistency and quality of the products during the entire process. This solution meets the demanding requirements of next-generation e motors, including higher power density, lightweight design, and greater energy efficiency.

Comau additionally received this honorary award in recognition of its ongoing partnership and engagement with the AMTS community.
In addition to its presence at the exhibition, Comau participated in the eCar Body Forming & Joining Engineering 2025 forum held during the show. Steve Zhu, Comau Head of Sales Account Body Assembly APAC, delivered a keynote presentation outlining how Comau combines intelligent process simulation, collaborative robotics, and advanced joining processes to support lightweighting and production flexibility in body-in-white applications. His session highlighted how these solutions help OEMs balance structural performance, cost efficiency, and manufacturing agility.
