During the event, Comau received a\u00a0\u00a0\u201cBest Supplier Award\u201d for its outstanding technical innovation, professional engineering management and reliable customer service in this engine retooling project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comau and Geely have long maintained a stable partnership, with Comau supporting Geely in numerous engine manufacturing and retooling projects in China. This year in particular, with recurring outbreaks of the pandemic leading to\u00a0transportation and logistics disruptions, and consequent shortages of manpower and materials, the Comau team acted on time, ensured quality, and worked with Geely to overcome the difficulties.\u00a0These efforts were\u00a0unanimously recognized by the customer. Of note, Comau received the \u201cExcellent Supplier Award\u201d from Geely Guiyang Engine in August, 2022, prior to which the company was recognized for having developed and deployed an end-to-end automated e-drive assembly line for the Geely Veremt plant in Ningbo. Similarly, the company won the \u201cBest Cooperation Award\u201d at the Geely Auto 2019 Annual Supplier Conference honoring partners in the field of powertrain assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the successful Start Of Production (SOP) of the BHE engine retooling project in March 2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0to mass production, Comau and Geely Yiwu Engine Plant have worked together to advance the implementation of the project. In tandem, Comau has strictly adhered\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0to the schedule, and despite the serious pandemic situation, has both responded\u00a0quickly and actively coordinated internal and external resources. Working onsite while\u00a0meeting the strict pandemic prevention requirements in force at\u00a0\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0time, the team successfully completed commissioning, \u00a0resumed production on schedule, and implemented\u00a0\u00a0the expected retooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cGeely has always focused on bringing quality products to market, and partners like Comau are key to our continued success,\u201d said Luo Ping, Geely Engine Platform Vice-General Manager. \u201cWe are pleased that thanks to the joint efforts over\u00a0the past six months, the BHE engine retooling line has achieved a production cycle of 48 seconds compared to the previous time of\u00a054 seconds. OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) has also increased, from less than 50% to more than 90%, with annual production capacity exceeding\u00a0400,000 units and monthly production exceeding 20,000 units.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Wang Wei, Comau APAC Head of Project Execution Management attended the ceremony and said,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cWe are very proud to receive this award, which not only fully recognizes our expertise in quality assurance and production delivery, but also motivates us to strive to be exceptional in our next collaboration.
