During the conference, Paolo Tebaldi, Comau Strategic Marketing Specialist, will focus on strategies to bring electric vehicle batteries into the circular economy with a presentation titled, \u201cAutomation and management of end-of-life batteries\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With specific reference to the use of collaborative robotics and vision systems as key enablers of safe and efficient automated battery disassembly and reassembly, Tebaldi will explore adopting robotics&nbsp;to make the re-manufacturing of resource demanding batteries both economically and technically feasible. More specifically, he will touch upon issues such as the need for high repeatability and quality of the repurposed battery, the reduction of the product cost for use in less demanding applications, better safety for operators and compliance with the circularity principals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comau\u2019s participation in the event is aligned with the company\u2019s involvement in a collaborative effort to develop a national supply chain for end-of-life management of lithium batteries.
