The official presentation of the participants and the objectives of the Innovation Community EIT Manufacturing, promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), of which Comau is a partner company, was held today, January 24, in Brussels.
The press conference illustrated EIT Manufacturing's guidelines and activities. It has been created to promote the development and strengthen the competitiveness of the manufacturing system at the European level, through the collaboration of 50 leading manufacturing companies, manufacturing suppliers, universities and international research institutes.
During the "Discussion on Added Value Manufacturing" panel, Ennio Chiatante, Comau Head of Digital Transformation Projects, represented the Community Industry Partners, focusing on the importance of an ecosystem of industrial players, such as EIT Manufacturing, for the development of the manufacturing sector in Europe.
"With its participation in EIT Manufacturing, Comau demonstrates, at the European and international level, its commitment to the realization of new and challenging projects aimed at strengthening the manufacturing sector," says Ennio Chiatante. "Promoting the innovation capacity of companies is one of the main objectives of the EIT Community. Comau provides the industrial sector with advanced technologies and systems, as well as the know-how and skills acquired in over 40 years of presence within the market, through the training and high specialization activities offered by its Academy."
EIT Manufacturing operates in the European territory through five different Co-Location Centers. Comau is one of the Italian companies in a network that also includes Polytechnic of Torino, Polytechnic of Milan, Arduino, Avio Aero, Brembo, Prima Industrie, and Whirpool Europe. The purpose of the Innovation Community of EIT is to promote manufacturing innovation through training, technology transfer, support for entrepreneurship and support for the competitiveness of the European business system.
