Comau exhibits e.DO™ and MATE at a Smart Factory Showcase

Comau takes part in Smart Factory Week, a week dedicated to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing from December 3 to 7. The event is organized and held by AGCO, an agriculture company, which is opening its doors in São Paulo to selected companies and professionals. Comau will showcase its cutting-edge products - e.DO and MATE.

e.DO is a modular, open-source, Industry 4.0-enabled, “build-it-yourself” robot with a user-friendly control interface that allows students of all ages to create, learn and play with robotics. It supports traditional teaching methods for a variety of subjects - including math, physics, art and computer science - while stimulating creativity and student  participation. It is the ideal tool to bring young people closer to new technologies and the digital transformation that is redefining automation.

MATE, Comau’s first exoskeleton, is an ergonomically designed spring-based structure which eases repetitive movements and relieves effort, improving the quality of work thanks to a lightweight, breathable and effective postural support. Wearable technologies are becoming an integral part of  the smart factory by assisting workers while they're performing everyday activities.

Comau’s interpretation of Industry 4.0, dubbed HUMANufacturing, reflects this "man/machine cooperation" approach in which the operator maintains a central role in the work process in synergistic collaboration with easy to use solutions and value added manufacturing solutions backed by the advanced technologies of Comau's most innovative products for the smart factory.
