Comau is among the companies that comprise the EIT Manufacturing Innovation Community, born from the pan-European Call launched by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), to promote the development and strengthen the competitiveness of the European manufacturing system.
The first meeting of EIT Manufacturing partners took place at the CEA Nano-INNOV research center in Palaiseau, France – 50 leading companies in the fields of manufacturing and supply chain, universities and international research institutes, from 17 countries. Ennio Chiatante, Comau's Head of Digital Transformation Projects, participated in the event on behalf of Comau.
EIT Manufacturing, headquartered in Paris, divides its activities among five Co-Location Centers, which are responsible for managing the newfound community’s projects at the regional level. The Polytechnic University of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Milan are leading the Italian hub, of which Comau is a partner.
EIT Manufacturing’s mission is to bring European manufacturing actors together in innovation ecosystems that add unique value to European products, processes, services, and inspire the creation of globally competitive and sustainable manufacturing.
