Comau and Pearson introduce the new learning project - “e.DO™ Experience” - at the International Festival of Robotics in Pisa

Comau, in partnership with Pearson, world leader in the education sector, is a sponsor of the second edition of the International Festival of Robotics. Organized in Pisa from September 27 - October 3, the event aims to promote discussion about the importance of robotics and its technological applications in different sectors.

In the field of education, Comau and Pearson actively collaborate on the development of innovative educational paths on digital transformation and the introduction of robotics in Italian schools. During the event, e.DO Experience will be presented to the public. It’s an educational project addressed to teachers and students of primary and secondary schools which uses Comau’s e.DO robot for learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects. To learn more about this educational project, there will be two separate seminars including speeches by Lucia Marchesi (Comau), Giuseppe Daqua (Comau) and Massimiliano Abbritti (Pearson) held on September 28 and 30, from 3pm to 4pm at the Conference Hall of Leopolda Station of Pisa.

e.DO is the innovative, articulated robot developed by Comau to be used in education. Weighing just 12 kg with a lightweight, modular and open source structure, it is highly technological; however, its technical features make it easy to be programmed and used with a tablet even by non-robotics experts, thus becoming a useful study partner.

To make the field of robotics more accessible and easy to understand for students who are preparing to enter the working world, Comau and Pearson have also launched the Robotics License. It is a training course already successfully conducted throughout Italy, recognized by the MIUR as a path of alternative schooling, which allows students to learn how to use and program industrial robots.

Lucia Marchesi (Comau) and Massimiliano Abbritti (Pearson) will present this educational program during the "Training the Skills of the Future: the Robotics License” meeting, scheduled for September 29 from 11:00 - 12:00 at the Conference Hall of Leopolda Station.
