Comau is a partner at the National Project Management Forum in Italy

Comau is an official partner of the 1st National Project Management Forum, held in Florence on October 6 by the Italian Chapters of the Project Management Institute - PMI®, the world's main certified professional association in project management.

During the event, there will be a rich series of workshops and discussion boards involving national and international speakers on the theme of "Complex Projects: From Mega-Projects to Impossible Missions". In particular, Comau will present - with the participation of Roberto Guida, Head of Comau's Project Management Office - its Project Management's expertise in highly complex and innovative contexts; from contract acquisition/execution to portfolio management and its risk profile, Comau will introduce how we are developing effective operational methodologies that are able to generate new value in a company.

In addition, Comau will support the PMI® and the activities of Italian Chapters with an exhibition space where it's possible to collect information on Comau Project Management Academy's business training activities. For ten years, Comau's Project Management Office has developed and supplied highly specialized training courses for both Comau staff and external professionals. In-house, Comau has led more than 180 Project Managers to the "Project Manager Professional" certification (PMP®).

Beginning in 2007, Comau was officially recognized as a REP (Registered Education Provider) by the PMI® and licensed to provide project management training courses to obtain PMP® certification.

To provide a concrete example of Comau's innovative approach to automation, in its own exhibition space the company will present e.DO, the new modular and open source robot developed to support the spread of robotics outside the industrial sector and for educational purposes.

Comau's presence at the event is proof of the strong cooperation with PMI®, a global organization with more than 650,000 members and 250 chapters that span 185 countries.

"Today, organizations are faced with delivering innovative new products and services in a rapidly changing marketplace, with constantly evolving technology and business requirements," Roberto Guida, Comau's Head of PMO explains. "Challenges grow alongside the complexity levels of the environment and project management itself is evolving to drive these changes. Comau is convinced that project management skills, together with a spirit of creativity and innovation, is today more than ever the key competency in a professional context."
