Today, the Italian-German Economic Conference "Harnessing the potential of the digital transformation for companies - Investing in the future" was held in Berlin at the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, with the presence of the Federal Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and the Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni. Comau, an FCA Group company, was invited to the event to represent the most innovative part of Italian industry, called to lead the change towards Industry 4.0. Specifically, Mauro Fenzi, Comau CEO, took part in the session focused on the theme "The future of industry in the digital world", along with Sigmar Gabriel, Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, Carlo Calenda, Minister for Economic Development, Vincenzo Boccia, President of Confindustria, Dieter Kempf, the new President of the BDI, and Tanja Rückert, Executive Vice President of SAP. In the debate, Fenzi focused on the challenges of digitalization in the industrial sector and the importance of people - and their competencies - in the technological scenario of the fourth industrial revolution, starting from the experience of Comau, a leading global company in the factory automation field.
